Why Did You Begin Blogging:

I was going through a divorce and blogging was a way for me to stay in touch with friends and family and "show" them that I was doing just fine, even though I wasn't always up to telephone calls. Writing is great therapy -- and it lets me share some of my favorite recipes, too.

Reasons for Being a Stay-at-Home Mom:

Two children, ages 14 and 12

Before Becoming a Stay-at-Home Mom:

Self-employed copywriter.

Most Rewarding Part of Being a SAHM:

Being there for my children.

They know they can count on me.

Biggest Challenge You Face as a SAHM:

There can be times of feeling disconnected, but I've been "at home" now for 10 years, so a lot of that has dissipated. Maybe a bigger challenge for me is getting motivated and setting deadlines for the "un-fun" stuff, like cleaning out the garage and attic!

Best Advice for Other Stay-at-Home Moms:

Stick with it! As far as I can tell, our children need our guidance and support more -- not less -- as they get older.
