Place a paper towel or newspapers under the cups to catch any drips. Using the wire dipper included in your Easter egg decorating kit, have your child slowly dip an egg into each cup. For pastel colors, remove eggs after 30 seconds. For darker colors, keep the eggs in the solution longer, up to several minutes. (Note: If you're using blown-out eggs, they will float rather than sink into the dye. Have your child hold down the egg with the wire egg scooper for several seconds until the dye is absorbed by the eggshell.)
